On May 8, Mediamatic will pedal off into summer with the opening of Sur Place, an exhibition on urban bike culture. Come for a bike ride through Mediamatic Bank and discover the rich culture that grew around a simple vehicle: the fixed gear bike. Sportsmen, messengers, collectors, artists and other bike lovers helped gathering some admirable collections and will pass on their enthusiasm to you through many fun events and workshops.

There will be a goldsprint competition, demo performances by artistic cycling club KWV de Heidebloem and music by DJ Samidi and DJ Santina Runaway.

Sur Place opening party starts at 8 pm at the Mediamatic Bank. Free entrance.
Don’t forget to visit the official opening at Pathé Tuschinski.
